It might help if you posted some details as to what you were doing at the time.

    robomonkey,
More details please. Are you running into the problem at the start or somewhere further along in the encoding process?

  6. Sorry I don't know what else to put.

Audio and video are seperate files
    VBR 2520|2520|1000 max|avg|min
    Full Screen Keep aspect Ratio
    16:9 display

other than that all the settings are default.

It is on a 2 job batch encode, both jobs failed after approximately 1 hour (I suspect after the first pass of VBR).

I initially had a problem with Xvid and VFW codec but I installed the full NIMO pack and that solved that error.

Sorry for being vauge but I'm not really sure what info is relevant or not

    But thanks your help

Is the avi file in question Xvid?. If so follow this guide for the correct settings in TMPGEnc: http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/userguides/119019.php
If this fails you might want to try and frameserve it thru VirtualDub following this guide: http://www.vcdhelp.com/virtualdubframeserve.htm
