vista DVD maker invalid pointer

i have just bought a laptop with vista DVD maker on, when i try to burn a photo slide show, the burn gets to 71% done then stops, a window pops up saying invalid pointer, please can anyone tell me what this means and what to do, i'm not very good on computers so please make it easy , i'm very disappointed with vista up to now

No idea what brought it up , and your not alone when it comes to vista issues .

Not much info from project , but newbies dont need to know all that just yet .

When you went to create the final title , did you try either of the following :

A: Directly to "dvd" , or
B: Directly to "hard drive folder" instead

Did it give any indication as to the total length of the project in time (playback length) ?

If it was during the burn phase to media , dont do it .
Output to folder first , then burn that by using imgburn instead .

This seperates the two process's , and helps with the diagnosis .
