VCD Header Trick

I tried to use the header trick on my MPEG file. However, when I hit run it says mpg can not be created. What am I doing wrong? Baldrick can you help me?

did you use a different name for the output file?

Do you know if the header trick will work on an RCA DVD player?

vts. When should I change the name of the MPEG2 file? Before I encode or after?

for ex, if your file is my_svcd.mpg, set Video input = my_svcd.mpg, Audio input = my_svcd.mpg, Output = new_svcd.mpg (or whatever). If you set Output = my_svcd.mpg, you will get the message "File exists. Do you want to overwrite?" If you click ok. you get "File... cannot be created" because you are trying to write over your input file.
