  1. hi i just got virtualdub and i have learned how to convert divx files into avi files with it, when i save a divx file as a avi file it makes the movie alot smaller and i can fit the whole movie onto one cdr instead of having to split the movie in half first but the problem i am having is when i watch the new file (avi) the audio is way off from the movie so i thought maybe if i used nero and made that into a vcd that it would correct its self but now i just have a vcd with really bad audio. what am i doing wrong to make the audio so off from the movie. i found the instrucionsfor cutting or joining moives for virtual dub on here but i have learned u don't have to cut lets say a 711,608 kb file if u save it as a avi and then use nero to burn it into a vcd? but anyway the instrucions say to select both under the audio and video direct stream copy but there is no both selection uner those. well i hope i made this so u understand and can kinda help me.. thank you very much

    You have an uncompressed audio. What you have to do is:

    Loade the AVI;
    Select Video - DIRECT STREAM COPY;
    Select Audio - Full Processing and set Audio Conversion to 44.100
