i have a couple of vcd's and i'm thinking should i convert them to SVCD.
This because the vcd's leave much space behind on a cd and if i convert them then i have a complete full SVCD.

But i know when you enlarge picture then extrpolation won't do much good, and what about the min. bitrate. The bit rate of SVCD is higher but that will not say that it will be beter

    is there an advice

Assuming you are using the VCD video as the source, then going to SVCD would just be a waste of time. Video quality can only be as good as the source it comes from.

The only good reasons I can think of for VCD->SVCD are:

    1. You have a player that likes SVCDs better than VCDs.

    2. You have the tools to create SVCD subtitles and want to add them.

    3. Your VCD has two audio tracks by using the left and right channels for different languages, and you would rather have dual-audio SVCD.
