  1. I was trying to follow a post in the area on converting non-standard image sizes to a standard image size - the goal being to make an XSVCD.

    I opened my files in Virtual Dub and got
    MPEG Import Filter: pack synchronization error

    Any suggestions?

    My original file was captured with an ATI All-In-Wonder. It is an MPEG2 320x240. I only have this clip.

    Thanks.

  2. VDub doesn't support MPEG-2. The way to work around it is:

    DVD2AVI --> AVIsynth -->VDub (optional) --> Encoder

  3. Thanks for the reply. I believe I'm on the correct track now. I got my file converted to a HUGE avi file and an audio file. Your 2nd program I need to read up on - I have a audio delay if I just try to splice the video and audio files together and re-encode with TMPGEnc.
