    Grantwalsh,

I presume (given your reference to VDub) that you want to capture at higher resolution than 352*288. Well, according to Hauppauge UK support, the card will not allow higher res captures (even though the tabs in VidCap or WinTV32 say otherwise). I only found this out after buying one!

  6. The key is that you need a VFW driver and not a WDM driver. Happ. only offers a WDM driver.

I just went through this again over the weekend with a new install of XP. Previously, I was using a third party VFW wrapper, which I think was called Coxial or Concentric or something... could have come from sourceforge. Worked well.

When I reinstalled, I couldn't find that wrapper again... I should have written down what it was using! But what did work for me this time (and not previously) is to install the Win2000 or NT VFW driver which is available on Happ.s site. I get some error windows when starting up capture mode in virtualdub, but then it works.

So, try the NT VFW driver. The file name is w2kdrv311.exe. Make sure you delete your WDM drivers first. This NT driver also does not have a TV tuner in the options in VirtualDib, so I have to use the WinTV2000 app to tune to the right channel to capture first, then load up virtualdub.

    Good luck!
