  1. i just started to learn how to rip dvds. i just want to be able to save them into my computer so that i can play them without having to look around for my favorate movies. but i cant get the plugin for TMPGEnc to work.i tried following the instructions but im not sure if im doing them right. does anyone know another converter or how to install the plugin correctly? and what a recomended player is because i have powerdvd but dont have any clue if that is what i use to play the movie.

  3. with MPGEnc there is a plug in thAT allows it to be able to convert dvd format. i cant get the plug in to install.

    Come on, some more details would be nice.
    I guess, you mean the VFAPI plugin and you are using DVD2AVI to decode.

  5. i dont know much about it thats why i cant give good detail. i just dont know how to get the TMPGEen to work. it doesnt read the d2v file.

    Right that the topic above (link) answers. I think, the only point, that was not mentioned is, that you have to install TMPG's vfp plugin by running the TMPGEncVFP_Install.bat
