I am looking at ways to convert my DV files to DVD quicker using TMPGEnc. I am currently running off a COMPAQ ML350 server, PIII 600Mhz, 256 Mb PC133 Ram, 3 SCSI in a software Raid configuration. Running WinXP pro on the box.
Everything is working well as far as capturing video from the Digital camcorder to disk and the conversion to DVD format is working without a problem as well. I just would like to speed up the process. What is the best piece of equipment I should upgrade to get shorter conversion times?
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Gatorguy

faster cpu ... going to a p4 make a heap of speed increase ..
win2k is a little faster than win xp but marginal diff ...
get the dual option for your machine will help a lot also ..
but over all faster cpu will make most diff.
