I recently converted a movie which had an AC3 audio into one using uncompressed wav. The resulting file plays OK with VirtualDub but when I use Windows Media Player, there is a certain periodic static in the audio. I have all the divx codecs plus the NiMo codecs installed. What compression should I use on the audio such that I can remove the static when playing with Windows Media Player? BTW: The original movie file (which used AC3 audio) had a sampling rate of 48000 Hz and had channels on stereo. Thanks.
