  1. I am new to vcdeasy and it seems I need to install ASPI Drivers, however I have Easy CD Creator 5.0 how will it effect it? Also, W2K Pro OS. I ask because the warning with the download was to not install on W2K or with Easy CD Creator 4.x, everything I've said says it works fine. any help would be appreciated greatly. Additionally, I need to install 'phantom' adaptec hardware to install the drivers???

unless you just want to have it done all in one program, i say don't install/use CDRDAO and use CD creator to burn the images made by vcdeasy. as for as compatibility, most problems occur if, for some reason, you have both programs open at the same time. this especially includes directcd.

as for your phantom hardware, you do this by going into your Install New Hardware wizard: start > settings > control Panel > add/remove hardware. this will trick your system [and the ASPI32.exe installer program] into thinking you have an adaptec scsi card installed in your system.

    ForceASPI is easier & quicker.

  3. Thanks, I ended up using Force ASPI already and have installed the drivers. Thanks. I'll try easy cd first though.

  4. Easy CD Creator (ver 4 at least) does not burn CUE/BIN images... thus you can't use it to burn the images made with VCDEasy / VCDImager.

Using ForceASPI will probably not affect the functionality of Easy CD Creator. DirectCD may interfere with other burning proggies though so unless you really need it, I strongly advice you simply uninstalled DirectCD.

The best programs to use to burn a CUE/BIN image are CDRWin and CDRDAO (with a GUI like VCDEasy or XDuplicator) on Windows.
