    Hi

I have created a home movie in Pinnacle Studio 7 and haave rendered it into an MPEG2 DVD format form within the program ('Make Movie' option)

1] I had to split the movie into 2 as it wouldnt let me render at first due to the file size being over 4Gb (4.2 I believe) Is there a way around this as I would obviously like it all on 1 disc (it is 55mins approx)?
2] Do I have to convert again using TMPGEnc?
3] Is the conversion in Pinnacle a good one, as after trying to play the MPEG in Windows media player it sticks, slows down etc?

In other words should I use Pinnacle Studio 7 to save in AVI, MPEG1 or MPEG2 (as these are the options available) before encoding in TMPGEnc? Which will give best quality?

Thanks for any help in advance

  2. I would save as AVI and encode in TmpGenc, encode as SVCD or DVD depending on what you want to do with it.
The 4 Gig file limit is a restriction of the FAT32 filesystem used under windows9x, upgrade to win2k or XP and use the NTFS file system which has no such limit.
