How can i convert a mkv video with subs to mpeg2 so i can see it on my desktop dvd player? I want to make VIDOE_TS and AUDIO_TS folders i guess!!!

Easiest way:
Flatten the mkv and Subs with emgumm's MoKgVm2DVD
to avi, drag and drop the resulting avi file into
Toast Titanium, and author a DVD from that to

but i guess i can do that with Handbreak too right? I mean to make the avi flattening!

Don't use Handbrake, can't comment on it.
