  1. OK, so I am using DVD2SVCD. This creates the final .bin/.cue files to be burned on CD. But I want to add menus and chapters using TSCV. How do I do that?
What file should I import in it?
burn the .bin/.cue file created by TSCV then?

TSCV seems a little complicated. Is there an easier thing out there?
Is there some place where I can get a lot of templates for TSCV which I can use as backgrouds and such...

    Thanks.

A great app with menu templates that is very easy to use is Ulead DVD Moviefactory. It has a free trial and is very affordable. VCDEasy is a freeware that has a little less options and therefore is easier to use than TSCV but still more difficult than Moviefactory. If you want to make these types of menus with your DVD2SVCD output you can't use the bin/cues, you need to author from the XXX.mpg files (make sure the "don't delete any files" is checked in DVD2SVCD). If you are authoring on 80 min. discs, I would tell DVD2SVCD you are using 74 min. discs (under bitrate tab) to leave you some space on the discs to add menus because DVD@SVCD uses ALL of your CD space when it calculates bitrate.

  3. plus Ulead DVD MovieFactory only creates motion menus for DVDs not SVCDs. You can create still menus but to me it's not worth giving up the extra space for navigational thrills.

  4. I've spent a hell of a lot of time (so much so, i failed to hand some school coursework in on time) using TSCV, especially creating motion menus with it. I now know it like the back of my hand.

I was thinking of writing a guide for the program, especially the more advanced features.

Would anyone use it if i did one?

  5. Definetely I would.
It would be nice if you could provide some samples also.
maybe some "pre-made" bmp's that can be used on any scvd, something like that.

    Thanks.

  6. can you tell us the average space it took on the cd for motion menus?

  7. The motion menus are just a normal vcd mpeg, so take up little space, for example my 30 second motion menu took up only 5 Megabytes from what i remember (i'm at school now and can't check til later), you can also have some music playing, they look sweet.

Anyway, I'll get working on the guide, like i say i don't have loads of spare time, but i'll do a bit when i can and put it up on my website when i add a new bit to it.

Does anyone have anything in particular they would like to see covered more so than anything else?

    regards,
    Craig
