  1. I am trying convert a mpeg to a CD-R to play in my DVD player. Does Adaptec do this or do I have to upgrade my software? It seems if I just copy the mpeg to the disk, it does not work. Any help?

  2. The file structures and the packing of the data has to be in a special format.

If you have VCD compliant MPEG-1, use the "Video CD Creator" program instead of the normal Ez Cd program. It comes with the Deluxe version, don't know about some of the bundled lite versions you sometimes get with a burner that leave a few things out.

    Standard VCD specs . . .

    NTSC (North America, etc):
    352x240 resolution
no more than 1.15Mbps video bitrate
    44.1KHz audio sampling rate
no more than 224Kbps audio bitrate

    PAL (Europe, etc):
    352x288 resolution
no more than 1.15Mbps video bitrate
    44.1KHz audio sampling rate
no more than 224Kbps audio bitrate
