I'm trying to convert some home video to DVD-Video...I have a Canopus ADVC-100 capture device. I have captured the video to full DV quality AVI files from both scenalyzer and WMM. I can then take those files and read them into TMPGEnc. I've tried to export them as ES (Video+Audio) (which gives me a .m2v file and a .mp2 audio file). Unfortunately when I try to read those into DVDMaestro, it seems to do okay with the video but can't deal with the audio. I think that DVDMaestro wants a .ac3 file for DVD authoring.
Is there anyway to take an AVI file and convert it with TMPGEnc to .m2v for video and .ac3 for audio? I don't think so since I only have stereo audio I can't get 5.1 audio.
If I can't get to a .ac3 file, how do I go from .m2v and a .mp2 files to DVD format?
