DVD-R/DVD+R compatability with Toshiba SD-3780

Wanted to know if anyone is familiar with the Toshiba SD-3780 DVD player and whether it is compatible with either DVD-R or DVD+R. Called Toshiba product support and they weren't sure. They suggested I come here! Browsed thru the player section here and my player wasn't listed. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I am in the market for a DVD burner (they're getting pretty cheap).

Take discs to a store and try them.

My Toshiba 3755 plays DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R and DVD+RW

Thanks for the reply. I already have the player. I just want to make sure I buy the right DVD burner.

Probably will have best luck with a DVD+R
(I have one, and for $10 I will send you a movie on a DVD+R to test)



Or the SONY DRU500 that can do both dvd-r and dvd+r

Thanks again! I just called my computer supply buddy 15 min. ago for some pricing on the Sony! I think I'm just going to go ahead and take a chance on the Sony. Appreciate the offer.
