Hollywood+ with new DVD palying problems !!!

I've a Hollywood+, with winXP, ii didn't use it 4 a while now i wanted to use it again. I put in a region 2 disc and it say, not the correct region. then i put in a older region 2 dvd and that plays.

i've a pioneer 103s region free in my pc, wat is wrong or what am i doing wrong. is it because of winXP
