    Did anybody here go?

I shot this on Halloween just standing still in the crowd.

I'm still working on this video

I guess it's those street lights. They make a lot of orange too. I had that problem at Disneyland too. Got some good stills though.

    Thanks for the kind words.

I just go to different events or locations of interest, take video and stills, then try to put together a "feeling" of it in a video, keeping in mind that slideshows are boring to most people, so I keep it fast paced, all meat and no vegetables.

I don't bother people to pose, or wait for me to take a picture. I shoot everything verite, as they call it, "fly on the wall". Many people in that video DID stop and pose on their own though.

I was surprised how many WANTED me to photograph them, so I did, but ended up tossing many of the photos because I didn't find them interesting enough.

When I first started filming, I knew the lighting was bad so I gave up on video and went for close ups. So I stood still in the moving crowd and snapped whatever I thought captured the "feel" and "look" of the event. I used a 50mm prime lens with no flash, so I could capture faces "in the wild", hahaha.

Making the video is much easier if you have compelling content, because the content transcends the container it's in. Art is art, bling is noise.

    Thanks again
