    I remember reading about it somewhere, where you can trick your DVD player to play a VCD by somehow manipulating it and making the DVD Player think it's a SVCD. I've got one of those APEX which no longer supports VCD but can still play SVCD. Can anyone shed some light on how I could do this? Converting VCD to SVCD is such a long process that it becomes meaningless to go through the conversion. Any help would be very much appreciated. TIA.

    dvdwizards.com/darrek or something like that. do a web search.

    from what i heard you make a CD with your MPEG on it with a JPEG on it too. then you'd be able to play your VCD compliant MPEG no prob.
