  1. Yes my mom won this dvd player at her work. I was wondering on this page Apex 1100w it mentions this particular player does play vcd's. On the box it says mp3,kodak picture cd,jpg, dvd,no mention of vcd's though.

So I pop in some vcds I have I get nothing. These vcd do however play in this JVC VCD player we have. That is how I watched vcd's cause don't own a dvd player that plays them.

So does this Vcd Player play VCD's? If so how do I go about it???[/url]

  2. I have that unit and it plays EVERYTHING I throw at it. It even plays .mpg video files burnt directly to disk. Attached is a link that explains this player in great detail. There are 3 different firmware virsions of this player, that maybe the problem. Browse the link, it will even tell you how to make this player macro and reigon free!!!

  3. Apex models manufactured after April 2002 (I believe) do not play VCD's. Check out the DVD Players link on the left of this page for more info.

There are still some available, but you need to check our the serial number to be sure of getting the correct on. My AD-1100W's serial number ends in E05 and can play VCD's.
