I am looking to buy a new dvd player. i have been hearing a lot of good reviews on apex dvd players. they are very cheap in price that is the only thing that is scaring me. YOu know the old saying u get what u pay for. i am going to use it for vcd, svcd, and later dvdr. i am looking for a progressive scan also and looked at the aped ad-2500. it is around a 100 dollars and does all i want. that is a great price for a progressive scan dvd player, way better than my sony that is a bitch about what cd's it will play. and it wont play svcd. let me know what u all think about apex or if u have any other suggestions.

I hear ya, got tired of spending a ton of cash on cdr's for my sony (ya thats right it doesn't deserve a capitalization) so I went and bought a cheap APEX 1100W and was the best $117.00 Can I spend. Every failed disk on my sony played PERFECT in this machine. Caution though, APEX has recently dropped vcd support but I have a machine that is not suppose to work and it works awesome. Good luck (F$@K sony)

I got an apex 1500 best 75.50 I ever spent. If you dont mind not having many bells and whistles this thing is the shit. It plays all x/vcd and x/svcds Ive made which is begining to total about 250. And with the hack you can back up your old dvds to vhs if you still use a vcr.
LONG LIVE APEX
