  1. Hi pros,

I know that this is an old problem, but I canīt find a solution.

    Video : mpeg2, avg 2930, max 3800, min 0 (mpv from cce 2.5)
    audio : mp2 160 k, 44100

I multiplex with bbmpeg, and always obtain an audio desync. I try a 11000 mux rate at bbmpeg but the problem persists. I canīt give more quality to audio because actually the final mpg is 813 mb ( i burn to 80 min cd). I canīt create miniDVD because my player canīt play it.

    Any suggestion ?

Those values are almost 200% over what SVCD allows. The readon that SVCD only allows combined of ~2740 is because the DVD player mecanism can only spin at 2x ( so plays 80minute disk in 40 minuts TOPS ). To push it further than this pre-defined value can lead to unpredictdable results.

In bbmpeg set the forced mux rate to 0. If sync problems persist its probably just that your dvd player cannot handle bitrates that high.

  4. I always set mux rate at 0, but I obtain underflows setting this.

I have not test de SVCD on my DVD player, I can see that thereīs a desync only playing the mpg with WMP, so this isnīt a problem with de dvd.

Well you can't really predict how the SVCD will play on your dvd player by playing it in a software player. The quality of software playback is only as good as the mpeg2 decoder you have installed. It is very common to have desynced playback on your pc and perfect sync on your hardware player, it all depends on which mpeg2 codec you have installed.

I would suggest getting a cdrw and burning a test disk.
