Audio desync in Autogk

I saw another poster who had the same problem who just posted but the post hadstuff in it that was way too advanced for me to figure out...

Very simply I copied the .vob's from this dvd to my hard drivea nd encoded to xvid using CBR mp3 and after a few minutes each encoded file has audio desync. Do i need to do some really complicated editing/conversion/etc to get these videos to sync? If so I won't bother with it...

Also if I need to use avisynth to do it...I have avisynth installed and looked through the help file but that just made my head spin! That program looks hella complicated to use. I searched and searched in the help file for a way to hardcode subtiltes using it and couldn't find anything so I ended up using AutoGK.

Did you copy all files from the DVD and opened the ifo(like VTS_01_0.ifo) in AutoGK? Don't open the vob files.

Ah, no I did not do that with the current discs I'm trying to rip. Actually on some earlier discs I used the vob files and didn't get any audio desync but then again each vob file wasn't over about say 12 minutes so that's probably why I didn't see any audio desync with those discs time. OK so open the .ifo files...I'll try that. Thanks.

Ok, this time I definitely used the IFO files and I still got audio desync. What can I do?
