  1. can it be done?

    i have an avi file that is like 2:30 hours runtime i was wondering if i can put this on 1 cd as a vcd.

    it was in yuv2 format with compression i think 322 x 250 or somehng to that effect. 44100 16 bit stereo thru virtualdub.

    No you can't. You can only fit about 80 min VCD on a 80 min CD, www.vcdhelp.com/vcd . If you want it on one CD you have to make xvcd,xsvcd or svcd but 2.30 hrs is a bit too much even for that http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/userguides/84759.php .

    If you don't need it to work on standalone dvd players you could fit it one cd using divx with decent quality.
