  1. I have a problem with a dvd rip and audio sync when encoding a svcd mpeg and tmpgenc 2.57.
I ripped the dvd with smart ripper and used dvd2avi then when encoding with tmpgenc the audio on both the film and the extras is out of sync by about a second.
Another dvd rip I have on my hard drives encodes perfectly so I`m wondering if the problem lies with smartripper or dvd2avi.
    any help would be great...

  3. its probably neither, just that particular dvd you ripped. ive had two films do that to me, shrek by 1 sec and dont say a word by 27 secs! you can correct this on the source range page in tmpgenc

  4. I had the exact same problem you had with the movie Training Day. I tried ot on two different computers (P-4 2.2 and an XP 2100+) and got the same results on two different dvds. Try this, it worked for me. Use cladDVD to rip and do everything else the same. I have no idea why but I have had much better luck with cladDVD and you can also set it up to frameserve right after the rip, somewhat automating the process.
