    I have a PCMCIA Card Bus 2 port firewire card for my laptop. Its DV input works great with both a camcorder and DVD recorder. However, I cannot get it to send DV back out to either. The DVD recorder simply says no DV input found, while the camera shows a blinking video signal for about 5 seconds then nothing. I've tried both DVIO and Ulead VideoStudio 6 software with the same results. I think it may be the card (a cheap Koutech model) but am not familiar enough with 1394 to really know. Anyone got ideas or thoughts?

    Be sure you have your Control Device set for your DV card. I know you have to do this in Premiere before it will export anything.
