I usually capture straight from a VHS. Are you having problems?
    Hello.

  3. HI, I can capture any VHS video, the problem is, some of the videos I capture cannot be played back. They continuously loop when being played back. I am told this is because of the copyright protection. I want to transfer my video collection to vcd because vhs degrades. How do you get around this copyright protection?

  4. What capture card are you using? I have an ATI Radeon 64 VIVO. I got a program which disables the Macrovision protection, and allows the movie to be captured.

George Lucas is holding the 1st 3 Star Wars movies back too long, so I'm gonna transfer my originals over.
    Indy

    System Specs:
3.0 GHz Intel, 1 Gig RAM, WinXP, 2x40 Gig HD, ATI 64Meg Radeon VIVO, Sony DRU500A DVD-R

  6. stephen2,

there might be a patch to remove macrovison - you might try a search
on google for your video card + macrovison removal. Otherwise I go with rayne, the copymaster does it's job well.
