  2. I am having similar problems. What operating system are you using? I am using Windows XP Pro to try to convert an 11Gb file of digital video to a DVD compliant MPEG2. TMPGenc gives me the same error message you had after about 5 minutes into the source. ULead DVD MovieFactory and Workshop crash while encoding as well. I am starting to Think there are issues with Windows XP Pro. I will try to see if it is a file length issue.

  4. Try first to change the codec reader settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 2 or 3.

Then try installing PowerDVD or WinDVD DVD playing software
to refresh your directshow mpeg-2 codec.
