  1. I have an MPEG4 encoded avi file that is in three parts, I have converted both of the first 2 into mpeg-1 to burn. They work fine. Whenever I try to do the 3rd one, I get No Picture on the transfer. I know the file plays perfect on my PC, even in Windows Media Player. Is it not correctly split, or what. Also, is there anything I can do to correct this, I really don't want to download it again!

If you downloaded the avi, I presume it's corrupted. If you split the avi file yourself, try again.

  6. try splitting the avi using avichop. if it splits the avi up, each smaller file will be complete. but don't delete the original in case this isn't your problem. something else to try is to right click the file in explorer to see if it has the same codec as the other two. tmpegenc has a little trouble using some codecs, even ones that wmp has no problem with.

I downloaded it and it appears to be a different format. The first 2 are...

    352 x 240, 24 Bits, 54006 Frames, 14.985 Frames/Sec, 41 KB/Sec, MS-MPEG4 V1

and the one I have trouble with is...

    352 x 240, 24 Bits, 62193 Frames, 20.000 Frames/Sec, 55 KB/Sec, MS-MPEG4 V3

The Audio compression is identical with both.

Do I need a different codec or do I need something else? I do appreciate any help.
