  1. I've been trying to put a demo reel together of all my work.

    - I ripped several sequences from some DVDs with smartRipper.
    - I then converted them into .mpg's using TMPGE.
    - Then editted them in Premere 6.0 and exported them as MPEG-2 with LSX.

**This all worked great until I re-installed windowsXP.

    Now...
    - When I view a clip in Premere's source window, it plays fine
    - But in Premere's program window the editted clip stutters.
    - Also when I export it, it stutters when playing back in Windows Media Player and RealPlayer.

I would really appreciate any assistance anyone can offer!

  2. I've got the same problem as you.. and I have no clue why it behaves this way. When I've cut out the avi sequences from the AVI-files using virtualdub it works just fine, and the movies play as smooth as they every could.

Someone got a hint to what the problem might be?

  3. I pulled out my hair with this problem for the whole weekend. I re-installed windowsXP twice and tried everything I could think of.

The problem mysteriously solved itself after I made an edit the TMPGE software. The only thing I can think is that TMPGE must have corrected a codec or encoder problem that Premiere was experiencing. The original .mpgs I made were in TMPGE and were imported in Premiere.

    Thanks again for your help!
