  1. after usin dvd2avi and you get the .wav and .d2v file and after i encode the dvd and get my final product, can i delete the .wav file since its like 900mb, or do i need it to still have sound when watchin the encoded dvd? thanks for your time

  2. I'm assuming here that you've only encoded the video so far . . .

    If you're making VCD or SVCD, then you need to use the WAV to encode mpeg1 layer2 audio. 44100KHz sample rate, 224Kbps or less bitrate. You can use the standlalone TooLAME mpeg audio encoder or the plugin version that works with tsunami mpeg (tmpgenc).

    After you have both video and audio encoded, then you need to multiplex them into a MPG file. Use bbMpeg or tmpgenc for muxing.

    . . . otherwise ignore the above and delete the WAV.
