Is is possible to burn an ASF file for a stand alone DVD Player??

How you convert it, will depend on many things, you can start with TMPGEnc and see if you can convert without any other problems.

I use ASF Tools: http://www.geocities.com/myasftools/
Simple little ap that converts your asf to avi and then you can use a template from TMPGenc to generate your burnable VCD file.
