Have been playing around with converting some dvd content to divx. I use XviD codec at about 850 Kbps. I notice that during any scene of high motion the screen pixelates badly and stays pixelated until the scene motion lowers. I using Flask to do the conversion. Are there any settgins either in the codec setup or Flask to at least lower this problem. Obviously the higher the rate i set the less obvious the problem is, but im guessing these groups who rip movies professionally, arent using high bitrates to fit movies on one cd. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers,
HaZ
