SVCD to VCD

Every thing I touch tonite has gone wrong, its now 1.00am and I've had enuf.

I have a SVCD disc that I need to convert to VCD disc, is there a (1) simple prog that will do that for me, I have tried a few of the downloads on offer here and have had no joy, hope somebody out there can help.

use tmepgenc to convert the header from svcd to vcd

file - mpeg tools - simple mux

open the file, change the save as name, then tell the 'type' to be MPEG-1 Video CD'

that way, it your dvd player should play the svcd mpeg2 as a vcd.

if that doesnt work, then you'll have to resample it to vcd with tmpegenc

Ok that works great, my next problem is the disc is now no longer big enuf to hold the mpeg, the DVd I'm playing with is Star Wars split into 3 discs, i did disc3 first as a test and everything said above worked buut now I have converted the 1st and larger disc it is to big to burn.


The question I have is can I join all 3 mpegs together and then edit to the file size required or do I resize the origonal mpeg?

Todays problem

Having burn the disc's successfully the audio is now out of sync with the video, what can i do to solve that?
