  1. When i demux the .ac3 file from Pearl Harbor-R2 and try to import it into Spruce-up or DVD Maestro i get the following error

Iconsistent bitrates were found among audio frames, Bitrate should be consistent throughout the stream.

Has anybody got any idea how to get around this but still keep the DD5.1

  2. BJ_M mentioned that the filename/path can give these kind of errors. I haven't noticed this myself, but maybe try and give the AC3 file a simple name in a simple location.

  3. Enemy,

Tried that already after seeing the other post but still the same problem, i called it PH.ac3 in c:\ph. might try Scenarist now as Maestro and spruce-up are by the same company so that might be my problem

  4. What program did you use to demux the file? I have been using DVD2AVI to do it when it generates the project. No problems so far.

  5. I always demux with smartripper and never had a problem before but i'll try DVD2AVI as Scenarist says the files invalid as well.

bbdemux component of BBTools may help you -- though i use that only for transport streams for demuxing, but it works great ...
i just use smart ripper to extract a ac3 files as a stream if i want to grab a ac3 file off a dvd ..

i suspect that error may show up when you extracted the ac3 file as one whole long stream (normally ok) instead of by vobs .. and grabbed a component of some maybe trailer or extra that was substancially differant ..

if you load the ac3 file into soft encode - you can see the wave files to check it ...

but far as i know there is no prob with the ac3 file on PH anyway .. so you may want to just demux it and extract it again (that movie must of been ripped 1 million times already) ..
