VCD playing and Panasonic RV-30

I have tried to created VCD's. I have converted the mpeg files to NTSC VCD using TMPGenc or FlashMpeg. To burn the discs I have used Nero 5.5 and/or Adaptec easy cd creator 4.
Both finish the creation and burning process ok.

When I put the disc in my Panasonic RV-30 for playing, it tries to read it, but ends up saying no disc, sometimes it says no play. I have tried with anoyher unit for playback at the local store and the same thing happens.

I'm using Imation 12x CD-R media to burn them. Are there anything wrong I'm doing. Any ideas will be highly appreciated.

i have the same DVD player, you need to uses CDRWs w/ silver dye.

Thank you very much joel, I used the media type you told me about and now is working fine. Wonderful!.

Question: I noticed that the picture does not cover the full screen of my TV. I have a trinitron 34". Is there a way to achieve this? I converted a PAL Mpeg to NTSC Mpeg. Then I converted this one to VCD using TMPGenc. Is there any setting about the aspect ratio I should change?
