DVDCopy 3.8 software consists of these three programs:
Smart Ripper (to UNLOCK the DVD AND/OR to Rip VOB files from DVD),
DVDx (To encode those VOB files OR To Rip directly from DVD to an encoded VCD Ready MPEG format), and
VCDEasy (To Burn onto CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW Media.

With DVDx I have been able to pull DVD extras from the DVD such as theatrical trailers, the "making of" documentries, deleted scene sections, and more to burn them on VCD's and they work.

With VCDEasy, if a person were to breakdown the movie in his/her own "custom" chapters, and they didn't exceed the length of the CD-R/RW, you can drag and drop each section of the movie into the playlist and once burned you will be able to skip to the next "chapter" you custom made.

  2. This brought a grin to my face, not unlike reading a story about an bomber whose illicit device is shabbily built and, contrary to their plans, blows them up while driving to plant the bomb. In other words, it is sweet irony that those who intended to rip off the hard-working developers of those 3 applications are now themselves being ripped off by pirates.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

Indeed they are, and it is also hilarious how those who download copyrighted movies and burn them, rather than buying the DVD, are pleased with that theft, but would bellow like a stuck pig if anyone stole any property of theirs.

As an example, I have some acquaintances (not friends - there is a difference) in a local pop band that has self-produced and distributed their first CD (pressed CDs even). They howl because they sell few CDs at the local clubs and record stores, yet they and their songs from that CD are fairly well-known around here, and you hear their songs played in cars around the University area when in traffic. Obviously, people are P2Ping their tracks.

The funny part is these same people (in the band) are avid mp3 pirates. They helped train and feed the dog that turned around and bit them, hehe.

    p.s. "Hey, that's my ox!"
