Hello fellow peoples. I am not sure if I am allowed to post this here but i think pulldownbatchfe is listed under the GNU public license and is considered freeware, and by posting a link to this program, I dont think I am breaking any forum rules. Although, since the original author stop distributing this software and is no longer available for download officially, he may oject to this posting, but then again, I think most people will be excited anyway and may want to congragulate me on a job well done.

For quite some time, PulldownbatchFE has not been available from the authors website since like 2003, but I have found a couple alternatives to the freeware in 2007 that might work--please note these links may not work in a couple months, so get it NOW:

http://www.cobraverde.net/Porady/divxdvd_update.htm (select GUI that's next to pulldown--it's pulldownbatchfe)

http://divx2dvd.altervista.org/avi2dvd/download.htm (select Pulldown--it's pulldown.exe and pulldownbatchfe--note Stuffit expander will say that the rar file is corrupt--ignore this--all the stuff is there to run pulldownbatchfe)

--please also note that both files will not have INF file and Dll file right away, you have to hit pulldownbatchfee and winmux will then say "processing" and the dll file and INF file will appear out of nowhere.

Again, if this is VIOLATION of rules, I am sorry. But to the best of my knowledge, this is not in violation of any rules.

I still consider myself a novice when it comes to video encoding. In fact, it's almost been a year since I have played around with encoding, and the only reason why I knew about the pulldown theory was because of this and other forums and backing up a dvd to svcd. For example, first video I did the audio desynched and the picture was messed up and the picture was cutoff because I did not know about TRUE aspect ratio which I am learning this month here.

Getting back on topic now: pulldownbatchfe has been the only program I have used for pulldown. Yes, I know canopus procoder express has the option for pulldown, but I heard from you guys that it is much better to encode your avi/avs to m2v first and then apply pulldown, and then multiplex the pulldown_m2v with .mp2/(or mp3). I have skimmed some articles here and there stating that pulldownbatchfe still results in jumpy video.....I have never witnessed this fact, but I believe it totally. But as for DGpulldown, I have just downloaded the program with its batch GUI, so maybe I will play with it later. So thank you administrator for brining this to my attention and also thanks for putting up a link to pulldownbatchfe because I think a lot of people have been trying to find that for a while. Now, if only doom9 could do the same. Off topic sentence:now that pulldownbatchfe has been linked, it would be even cooler if TSCV 0.85 betta could be found, but i think that program is RIP because of DVD popularity. I have found tscv 0.84r2 from some site, but not 0.85. (now back to topic)

In fact, if anyone wants to start a new topic on the results of pulldownbatchfe vs DGpulldown batch, that would be a cool new topic.

Main advantage of batchDGpulldown is that it can do pal to ntsc conversion with out the need to alter the audio and it can also do custom conversions (set your own input fps and output fps). Donald Graft did a great job improving pulldown. BatchDGpulldown was a program I put together for my own use and thought others might find it useful.
