Hi i recently saw a copy of a movie in a format called superbitrate. I am assuming this means the video bitrate is alot higher and therfore the movie much larger. Is this so and if so has anyone been able to shrink a superbitrate movie to fit a dvd-r 4.7gb.??

Yes, new SuperBit DVD's use a much higher bitrate. As the file size is so much larger they usually drop the extras to fit it onto a DVD disc. Reading reviews, some movies look a lot better in SuperBit format while others are similar to their standard DVD releases.
