can anyone explain this?? movie as bg in xp by accident

this happened a few moths back so dont quote anything i say. I was trying to capture a picture from a dvd (ff if u must know). i was useing a capture program (i tried a couple, both from tucows) and thats when the weird thing happened.
The picture was captured, and saved but insted of being a still it was the movie!?! ie. i put it as my dektop background, when a movie wasnt playing it was black, when a movie was it played the movie as the background.
can anyone explain this?? im running xp and it didnt work with anything but dvds. ie. mpgs just ended up as stills.
if anyones interested i can post the dvd proggy i was useing along with the capture programs and anything else asked 4. thanks

Some programs such as my old hardware DXR3 DVD Player use a key color for the background of the viewing window. The program then just puts the movie whereever that color is. I used to use it for cool stuff.

For example I would be reading a fourm with a mainly black background so I'd set the color to black and do my fourming while the movie played all over my web browser.

Could it be something like that?

?? dunno dude but thats the best explaination i've got yet, its actually the only 1! cant understand how i could do it by accident tho.
Has any1 else tryed this?? has it worked for some1 else??
