I'm having a problem with my 80 minute Memorex 1x-4x CDRW's (which I'm finding out the hard way are crap)
I am able to write to them just fine, but when I try to erase and rewrite, I keep either being told that the disc is not empty, or it will start to write, but then come up with a write error part way through(at a different point each time)
I've tried using Nero's (5.5.7.2) quick and full erase function, and Clone CD's(can't remember which version, and am at work) erase, with and without fast erase checked. Nero, in general, will not even start writing to the disc, but Clone CD will, but crap out part way through. Even with Clone CD, most times I will have to erase, then quit and restart it before it will even attempt to write. I've gotten 1 disc to actually write this way, but have crapped out on my other 3 attempts. And, some of the discs from the spindle(25) will rewrite with no issues. Also, I have absolutely no problems writing to CDR's with either program. Has anybody else experienced something similar? Does it sound like a media issue? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I'm definitely going to test all of my discs, and then send Memorex another nasty email telling them that their product is crap.
what are you askin' me for...

  2. CDRW's are a little unpredictable, after install WinXP I canīt write with Nero or Musicmatch (with other softwares work ok) when I try to burn always end with error and the disk became unusable, if I put them in the Cd rom the system says "there is no media" and I canīt erase it to reuse...

did you try to just set them out in the sun for a day with writing side up?

this often erases them - unless there is no sun ..

  8. I bought 5 pack memorex CDRW 1-4X. After 1 months 2 cdrw became unuseable, 2 months later another 2 was gone as well. So now all 5 end up in my trash can
