tmpeg problem????

i am using dvd2svcd and tmpg to rip dvd's to svcd. i have done a few successfully, but when i rip the matrix or mask of zorro, when tmpg starts to encode the video, the preview screen is green. the other films will play fine while encoding. any ideas please? this is very irritating! i always unlock the dvd by playing in power dvd for a few seconds first.

I have had the same problem recently, first with " In the bedroom" then another movie. I fiddled with the priority numbers in the VFAPI env settings of TMPG, and bummer, don't remember what I had them at. I can still encode , but my .bmp.avs change picture encode stalls!! Anyway, if you engage preview in TMPG when you have the green screen , and slide the play bar, I think you will see an avixxxx.dll error in red letters!. I don't know why this is happenign , but I have now taken do double ripping, first with smartripper then also the internal routines of DVD2SVCD, since I believe, but am not yet sure, that the problem lies with the DVD -> AVI frameserving of the specific file , not your general plug ins or settings.

i ripped to svcd (using the prog dvd2svcd) the following 2 films and they work perfectly : top gun and jumanji.
when tmpg starts encoding "the matrix" and "mask of zorro", all i get is a green screen.
i am using the program dvd2svcd and in the conversion section, when analyzing video in "the rock" it just freezes with the message "Analyzing video, please wait", even though it plays fine using power dvd.
HELP. Help. HELP! please.
