freeVCR prob

Ok. I was using freeVCR version 1.2 beta7. The only problem was that I had to capture the audio using no compression. The sound would record just fine. When I downloaded beta 8, I can't seem to record any type of sound. I know that this version enables the use of mpeg3 and divx sound capture, but I can't even capture without compression anymore.
Any suggestions?

I've got the same problem. Beta 5(stable) audio works fine, but I can't get more than about 20min in an avi file without curruption.

there have been a few posts about this bug in beta 8 & I have the same problem. beta 7 seems the best bet at the moment
but somebody somewhere must be able to get the sound to work in beta 8 (uness the author's having a laugh with us)

If anyone can use beta 8 properly then let us know a little about your sysem and maybe we can start looking for reasons why ours don't work

alternatively we can just wait for beta 9

I can agree that beta 8 does NOT record audio. But I did download beta 7 and it worked fine; recorded audio and video fine.
