  1. I recently obtained a file that when extracted, its extension was .bin. I am assuming that it is binary for transfering purposes. There is also a .cue and a .sfv. I tried using TMPGEnc to open the .bin and it says the format is not supported. I tried changing the extension to .mpeg, .mpg, and .avi: still nothing. I tried reading all the how-to's but I couln't find anything on .bin, .cue, .sfv so here I am. This is my very first attempt....

    Any Ideas??

load the cue file in nero or fireburner or wincdr and stick a cdr in your cd burner and hit go ..
it is a image file - most likly a svcd or vcd

the cue file contains info for the burner to burn the large bin file - the bin file contains the cd image .. the sfv file is a checksum file to help you in determing if the rar files you had where al there and correct ... the sfv is also used by certain ftp sites to automatic check that , again , the files are complete and all ok ..

no -- load the cue file (only) as i said ... both files must be in the same directory ..
the cue file "points" to the bin file ...

you may have to open the cue file to change the path of the bin file .. but dont worry about it if it works ok ...

it is the same method ... doesnt mater if you want to play it on a dvd player or a pc ...

as long as its a vcd or svcd it will (most likly 0 check the guide here) play on your dvd player ..

the name of the "movie" you downloaded will most likly tell you what you have there ... as in if its says "svcd" thats a no brainer .. but things like "screener" , TS , WP , PV, TC will be all vcd's (ussually)...

well personally i hate that program since about when it was good years ago (version 3 i think) ...

you need to open "create cd from image" shown in the picture (the one below the highlighted image)

hit the drop down menu shown below and select all types of files

navigate to your bin/cue file and select the cue file

    and write the cd ..

IF EZCD doesnt accept cue files (i dont know if it does as i dont use it) -- install fireburrner or demo of nero and use those ... (or wincdr also) ....
