  1. hello. I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but I want to ask anyways.

I want to ask about the ways to capture the movies. The print screen does not work for mpg, avi, dvd and such. Is there a way to capture movies from media player and windvd? I would be glad if you could help me with this.

  2. Are you sure you're using print screen correctly?

and what are you tring to do, capture a single frame of the movie? or capture what the movie looks like when it's on your desktop?

  3. uhmm, how could I use print screen wrong?

Let me tell what I want to do. I open a movie with Media Player or Quicktime or Windvd or Xing Player. I pause the movie. I hit the print screen key. Then I paste it to Photoshop. And all I see is black in the movie player area. It shows black instead of the paused movie. This occurs on every player I tried, be it Windvd or Media Player. Is there a way to capture the movie screen ?

  4. Use virtual dub to capture screen. Load you movie into Vdub and go to the frame you want to capture. Under video choose copy to clipboard. Then past into whatever program you edit in.
