Assuming you used TMPGenc to encode the movie your trying to burn, you need to turn off 3:2 pulldown and 23.976 FPS(internally 29.970 FPS) when encoding. Otherwise it thinks it is 29.970 FPS when it is 23.976 FPS

To fix it just encode it at 29.970 FPS, it works great for me.

  5. Ulead MovieFactory is supposed to be able to detect scenes based on date changes. When I capture and set it for scene splits. After, I scan for scenes and it doesn't find any- just one big clip. What's the trick to get it to detect scenes ? I'm capturing from my DV camera using a firewire connection.
