Hi Guys problem as follows when watching certain AVi's after 4-5 minutes the audio stops but the video continues, I then have to exit the player and re-open and FFWD to where i was before.
Then after 4 - 5 mins the same happens again all the way through.
This happens with POWER DVD 4, REAL, WMP, DIVX players.
Am guessing the problem lies in the AVi's and not the players? any help is appreciated.
TIA
Iain

Possibly - but another suggestion would be your audio drivers. If you can play other audio OK on your PC (ie CD Player, games etc) then I think your assumption is correct. Maybe worth reinstalling the drivers and ActiveX anyway ?
PS is it AVI's your trying to play or MPG's ? -
Trying to play AVi's Mission Impossible II, can play other audio and video's OK, could be Drivers or Active X? will try that fix next.
Thanks for suggestions any one else suffered this problem?

I would try to see if the files themselves are damaged. Load one of suspect files into Gold Wave, and check if there is video through the entire track.
