  1. Hi i have an ATI radeon 7500 or something like that and i just had a simple question. i am able to do the monitor on the tv and the tv on the monitor ok(the video input and output). However what do i need to do(and what are the names of the cords taht i need) to get the sound from the TV to go on the computer speakers so when i record from the tv the sound will be with it. i heard that i need some small cord that goes from the video card to the sound card then an audio cord for the sound card to the tv but i dunno. if anyone could go into detail about this i would greatly apreciate it. thanks.

I'm having a little trouble following you but I don't think your TV is necessarily going to have audio (or video for that matter) outs. Maybe what you need to do is put the audio/video to your cap card BEFORE it ends up at the TV set. My VCR and Directv receiver both have audio/video outs. The cord you're hearing about may be an RCA style cable or maybe a 1/8" stereo adapter (depending on your cap card and I am unfamiliar with ATI cards). Maybe you could help me visualize this better.
