Hi,
I'm in the process of ripping my first DVD (Traffic for curiositys sake), and i'm not sure everything is going smoothly. Its been going for 4.5 hours. I'm using DVD2SVCD (version 1.0.9 build 3) w/ CCE (version 2.64.01.09).
I'm running a new Pentium 4 w/ a 2ghz chip + 256mb ram (how long should it take to rip + encode a dvd on average?).
CCE has been at it for around 4 hours (it completed some task and is now on some other task). It is currently encoding 'Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL.mpv' and is 15% done. It is reporting that there is 8 hours 30 mins left. The file is already 1.25 GB (1,347,158,016 bytes) big. It seems strange that the file is that big.
My question is: is this normal? I don't really wanna wait over 8 hours for something that doesn't work
Cheers in advance!

Depends on your dvd2svcdsettings, cce settings and used Avisynth filters.
Probably it is OK.

On my PIII 850Mhz, it takes on average from start to finish about 16 hours using DVD2SVCD and CCE 2.5SP. But the quality is worth the wait
